Does my video card support Pixel Shader v2.0?

I am trying to run a new pc game and it keeps crashing. I am reading the tech. support guide and it says the problem may be that my video card doesn't support Pixel Shader v2.0. The guide also states that currently only the Nvidia GeForce FX series (or higher) support Pixel Shader v2.0. The video card I am currently using is an Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X. My problem is, I don't know if my video card is a lower model than the Nvidia GeForce FX series cards that support Pixel Shader v2.0.|||a geforce 4 is lower than a geforce fx....think of the geforce fx as a geforce 5

if you have the money to shell out, i suggest you get an nvidia 7800gs for like $270ish. should play all the games today w/ liquid smoothness plus it has dx shader model 3.0

for about $100, you should get either the 7600gs or the x1600 pro, both will run fine in all games today, jus not at the greatest settings.|||The GeForce MX 440 is an entry level grahpic card. For better gaming performance move up the higher level of the FX series.|||Most of games don't support Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440. Even if your card has Shareder v 2.0 but the games don't support your card - you could not play^_^
