Video graphics card for a game?

ok i have a GeForce4 MX 440 with AGP8X, this isn't enogh to let me play the PC game Call of Duty Modern Warfare (1). I checked the site Can You Run It? and it says the minimum i need is a NVIDIA GeForce 6600+ (im gonna go with Nvidia cuz i have that now so....)

I actually have 2 questions

1. Do i need to have to update all other hardware to accommodate my soon to be new video card?

(bear in mind i have a 1 gb RAM and a 2.8 gHz performance computer)

2. How would i go about installing it? Do i need some sort of special card so it fits inside my computer without anything happening?|||You have four options, none of which I expect you to like:

1) Forget about playing CoD:MW (it's the cheap solution)

2) Buy an AGP based Radeon HD 4650/4670 video card. There are no AGP based nVidia cards available at 6600+ levels. There are some ATI based ones (a couple of companies took PCIe graphic processors and adapted them to AGP cards.) http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…

3) Replace the motherboard, cpu, memory, video card (and probably power supply) to bring your system up to current performance levels.

4) Buy a new computer

#3 is probably the most cost effective|||1) depends on what motherboard you have

2) depends on what motherboard you have.|||You need to upgrade A LOT of parts. Especially your Motherboard cause it probably still use AGP and not PCI-e.|||increase ram to 3GB and but (depending your motherboard you will need a at least 1 gb graphics card|||what pc make and model do you have?

i would recommend getting more RAM as well if possible

also, make sure to get an AGP card, unless your PC also has a PCI-E slot
