How can I know if a video card is compatible with my motherboard ?

I have an MSI MS - 6712 motherboard. Recently I got hold of an ATI 9250 AGP8X 128mb TV-OUT graphics card, but i'm worried that if it's not compatible it would damage my motherboard. Can someone tell me if it is ? thanks in advance|||yes. the board has an 8x agp slot. its compatable. |||most motherboards are capable of accepting either pci or agp cards your probably fine, the card can only go in one way so there is no way to damage your mb unless you arent careful when installing the card, be sure to load the software first. good luck
